Country star Morgan Wallen has been arrested on felony charges after an incident at a Nashville bar.
On Sunday night, the 30-year-old was taken into custody after he allegedly threw a chair from the sixth floor of Chiefs Bar in downtown Nashville at approximately 10:45 PM as per a report by local media outlet News Channel 5.
An arrest report allegedly detailed an incident in which a group of Metro Nashville police officers were standing in front of Chief’s Bar on Broadway when a chair fell from above them, hitting the ground just feet from where they were stood.
Staff members at the bar alleged that Wallen was the man behind the dangerous chair throw which was later allegedly confirmed by a video appearing to show the ‘Wasted on You’ hitmaker “lunging and throwing an object over the roof.”

Witnesses told officers Wallen made light of the situation, even laughing after he had done it.
The star seemingly kept the same expression for his mugshot after he was booked shortly after midnight on Monday morning.
Worrick Robinson, Wallen’s attorney told the New York post that the singer is cooperating with law enforcement also adding that he was arrested “in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.”
Wallen’s bond was set at $15,250.
He was later released from Davidson County jail in the early hours of the morning around 3:30 AM.

In the wake of the incident, images of the star have been posted to social media, with one particular one appearing to show Wallen shouting in the back of a cop car just outside the bar.
“I work there and the chair damn near took out 2 cops. He threw it from the 6th floor,” another Instagram user, who claimed to work at the bar, wrote in the comments section.
Others poked fun at the situation, with this user writing: “This Tennessee weather is crazy. One minute it’s clear skies and sunshine. The next minute it’s raining chairs…”
Another added: “Eric Church’s bar is off to a record year.”
A third urged the singer to “leave them broadway chairs alonnneeee,” quoting the star’s own lyrics.
This isn’t the first time this “country bad boy” has found himself in trouble with the law.
The New York Post reported that Wallen was arrested back in May 2020 on intoxication and disorderly conduct charges after being kicked out of Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk bar in downtown Nashville.

Following the arrest, he took to X after his release to apologize for his behavior.
“Hey y’all just wanted to clear the air. I went out downtown last night with a few old friends. After a couple bar stops, we were horse-playing with each other,” he wrote at the time. “We didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected.
“Thank you to the local authorities for being so professional and doing their job with class,” he added in a follow-up tweet. “Love y’all.”
