JK Rowling has recently said she will ‘not forgive’ stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe.
The Harry Potter creator recently made it clear that if the pair do (for whatever reason) decide to go begging her for forgiveness, it’ll be a waste of time.
This comes after years of Rowling being accused of transphobia as she frequently shares her controversial views on transgender rights.
And those views are very different to the ones Watson and Radcliffe share, as they have publicly spoken out against transphobia.
As the author expressed how ‘bloody angry’ she was in a recent rant, one of her supporters responded: “Just waiting for Dan and Emma to give you a very public apology … safe in the knowledge that you will forgive them …”

While Rowling didn’t directly name the pair in her response, she did snap back at the stars who disagree with her opinions as she wrote: “Not safe, I’m afraid. Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single-sex spaces.”

The author first began facing real backlash for her views in 2020 and this led to Harry Potter stars speaking out to show their support for the trans community.
Watson said: “Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren’t who they say they are.
“I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are.”
While lead actor Radcliffe apologised for the ‘pain’ that had been caused while also penning an essay for LGBTQ+ organization, The Trevor Project.
Radcliffe said at the time: “Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.
“I am still learning how to be a better ally, so if you want to join me in learning more about transgender and nonbinary identities check out The Trevor Project’s Guide to Being an Ally to Transgender and Nonbinary Youth,” Radcliffe added.
What other Harry Potter stars have said about Rowling and her comments about the trans community
Rupert Grint

The Ron Weasley actor said in a statement in 2020: “I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers. Trans women are women. Trans men are men.”
In a 2022 interview with The Times he added: “I liken JK Rowling to an auntie. I don’t necessarily agree with everything my auntie says, but she’s still my auntie. It’s a tricky one.” LADbible has contacted his reps for comment.

The actor told The New York Times in 2022: “The verbal abuse directed at her is disgusting, it’s appalling.
“I can understand a viewpoint that might be angry at what she says about women. But it’s not some obscene, uber-right-wing fascist. It’s just a woman saying, ‘I’m a woman and I feel I’m a woman and I want to be able to say that I’m a woman.’”

The Luna Lovegood star previously told the Telegraph: “I just felt that her character has always been to advocate for the most vulnerable members of society. The problem is that there’s a disagreement over who’s the most vulnerable.
“I do wish people would just give her more grace and listen to her.”

The Dudley Dursley actor told the Independent in 2022: “I can only speak for myself, and what I feel, to me, is very simple, which is that transgender women are women and transgender men are men.”
