When Remodelista editor Meredith Swinehart planned her move from her longtime San Francisco apartment to her boyfriend’s condo in Emeryville, she started by planning where to put her furniture and essentials. She found space for her rolling desk, pantry shelves, and wall space for her favorite artwork. However, there was no clear spot for one unglamorous item: the litter box for her two cats.
Luckily, the new condo had a laundry closet, which was an improvement from the coin-operated laundry in her old apartment. The existing washer and dryer were old, so Meredith and her boyfriend decided to buy a new stacking set. This way, they could free up space for the cats’ litter box.
