John Schneider is still grieving the loss of Alicia Allain.
This week, after announcing the passing of his wife on Wednesday, the 62-year-old Dukes of Hazzard actor posted a number of tributes to her on his Facebook page.
“I simply have no words but… I miss you horribly Mrs. Schneider,” the actor captioned a snapshot of himself and Allain kissing each other on Sunday.
Schneider planted a kiss on his wife’s lips in another post published the day before and captioned it, “For me, this is what love looks like.”
Schneider was pictured holding his deceased wife tightly in a photo on another post released on Thursday, and the text expressed his sorrow.
“For me, this is a period of unspeakable grief.
The word “grief” is far too modest. It has been said that “great love brings great grief.” Up until today, I had no notion what that meant “said he.
In response to the passing of his wife, who, according to an online obituary, passed away at home surrounded by family the day before, Schneider posted on Facebook on Wednesday. 53 years old.
Schneider captioned a picture of himself and Allain holding hands with their wedding bands prominently visible,
“My lovely Smile is thriving in her new body alongside Jesus, pain-free,” as well as another picture of the couple holding hands.
“Please respect our need for privacy at this difficult time. Please refrain from asking any inquiries, he said before requesting that his fans upload any images of them and him that showed our evident affection for one another.”
Finally, Schneider advised giving those you love a warm embrace and expressing how you feel. “We have always.”
Although the official cause of death was not made public, Schneider had previously spoken openly on Fox & Friends about his wife’s battle with breast cancer.
She was “diagnosed with stage 4 HER2 negative cancer” at the time, according to Allain, and Schneider added, “She was three years into a five-year shelf life.”
Allain told Fox & Friends that she made the decision to fight her cancer holistically: “I read what I was going to do like I was taking a speed course. I made the decision to use CBD oil, the ketogenic diet, and grounding with minerals. I really settled into a really strict routine.”
On September 25, 2019, Schneider and Allain were married in a small ceremony in the barn at John Schneider Studios in Holden, Louisiana.
The actor’s prior relationships included marriages to Tawny Little (1983–1986) and Elvira “Elly” Schneider (1993–2019). Chasen, Karis, and Leah are the three children he and Elly have together. Between 1994 and 1999, Allain was wed to Patrick Dollard; the couple had a daughter named Jessica Ann.
