A former ABC affiliate news anchor has passed away following a protracted illness.
Tanya Spencer, a former WRTV anchor, passed away at the age of 53.
When Tanya Sumner was a TV reporter, her name was more often known as Tanya Spencer.
According to WRTV, an ABC News station, she was battling a malignancy that began in her intestines and swiftly progressed.
On May 24, the news anchor went away at home.
Spencer was a TV reporter for twenty years.
She spent the better part of her journalistic career as a host and reporter at WRTV.
Spencer shared a heartfelt message for her pals in her most recent Facebook post.
“Good health and time,” she informed him.
“The only true goods we have are those.” To us, they are the only actual currency that matters.
Indianapolis residents supported her right to privacy even if they were familiar with her from watching her on the television.
The former news anchor has a teenage kid and is married.
One of the most difficult things she had ever done in her life was the operation she underwent on November 17, 2022.
It was discovered during the procedure that she had colon cancer.
In 2015, Spencer declared, “I have a rare genetic mutation.”

While battling cancer, she became a great health champion, urging everyone to have a colonoscopy.
She waited too long to schedule a colonoscopy examination, which is why she took this action.
Spencer was unaware that new regulations will require tests to begin at age 45 in 2021 rather than 50.
She had earlier stated, “We would be having a different conversation if you could imagine me finding this grapefruit-sized tumor six years earlier.”
