Tori Spelling isn’t afraid to share the nitty-gritty details of her personal life. From admitting to peeing in one of her son’s diapers while stuck in traffic to casually mentioning she has the “lady parts of a 14-year-old” and sharing details about her relationship with now ex, Dean McDermott, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star is an open book. Perhaps a bit too open for some.
Tori, 51, shares five children with Dean, 57. There’s Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau 7. Recently, Tori confessed to still having multiple placentas stored in her freezer at home.
Tori Spelling dished on the placentas in her freezer on her ‘misSPELLING’ podcast.
In the June 28 episode of Tori’s misSPELLING podcast, the mom of five opened up about the multiple placentas she has chilling out in her freezer.
“I will comment on the last thing that they would think I have in my freezer, though, and that would be my placenta,” she shared toward the end of the 25-minute episode. “Unsure which child. There’s two in there. So unless I have, like, the biggest placenta in the world, there’s two vats in there.”
She explained she was ‘too lazy to send it out.’
“They say it’s good luck to eat it, or it’s good luck to bury it, or it’s good luck to, you know, have it sent and made into that powder and they put into pills,” Tori continued. “And I’m just too lazy to send it out.”
Evidently, her friend is also storing one of her placentas for her.
Not only are there multiple placentas in Tori’s freezer, but her close friend, Jess, also has one at her house.
“You want to talk good friends? She came to the hospital the day Beau was born,” Tori explained. “I had a C-section and we had had complications…I said, ‘Jess, can you take the placenta home because they’ve given it to me and I don’t know what to do with it?’ So she, like a proper best friend, did take it home.”
Tori noted that Jess has asked her a few times through the years to take the placenta back.
“I’m going to one day,” she promised.
Tori actually lost a couple of her placentas.
Because Tori and her family “move a lot,” a couple of the placentas she kept got lost along the way. “Imagine that, you guys, like they got lost or left at some rental,” she said, with a laugh. “Someone, like, opens up a freezer and…That would be interesting to put on eBay.”
Previously, she and Dean ate one of them.
Tori filed for divorce from Dean in March 2024 after 18 years of marriage, although she listed their date of separation as June 17, 2023, per People. When they were married, however, the couple ate one of Tori’s placentas.
“Dean’s an amazing chef. So I mean, it was like, a little truffle oil, little salt and pepper, lemon,” Tori revealed on the podcast. “He cooked it and seasoned it, and it was actually really good.”
