The possibility that Keith Urban may appear at the annual “It’s A Bloke Thing” luncheon held in Toowoomba is now more likely than ever after being sighted by waiting photographers at Sydney Airport last night. Every year, the luncheon is hosted in Toowoomba.
The story was confirmed to be true when Keith Urban landed at Wellcamp Airport at noon, took the stage at the perennially well-attended Prostate Cancer Awareness/Fundraiser event, and played for an audience of around 500 guests who had paid to attend this very special event.
Urban is very passionate about and has a particular place in his heart for the fight against prostate cancer. In addition to his grandpa and several other members of his family, his father, Robert, lost his fight with the illness in December of 2015. He was powerless to cure his father of the illness.
The country megastar, who is currently touring the United States as part of his Graffiti-U World Tour, found time to return to Australia and participate in a fundraiser that has raised millions of dollars for prostate cancer research and awareness in just seven short years. Despite the fact that he is now on his Graffiti-U World Tour, performing all across the United States. despite the fact that he is now doing performances all throughout America.
With almost $1.53 million raised for the It’s a Bloke Thing Foundation in 2017 owing to the generous donations of the community, this event is one of the most successful daytime fundraising initiatives in Australia. One of the biggest midday fundraising initiatives ever is this one.
The lunchtime fundraising event that Keith assisted with raised a phenomenal amount of $2,024,000.00 since he volunteered his time and didn’t charge anything for it. Keith deserves a lot of credit.
