A passenger plane crashed in the middle of a residential area on Friday, and it was all caught on camera by viewers.
It shows a massive commercial jet in free fall, falling out of the sky…
Shortly after the crash, a massive plume of smoke is seen rising into the sky, while other videos display the smoldering wreckage on the ground.
Look at it: the fuselage of the jet appears to be in the center of a residential neighborhood, and huge flames are burning just feet from nearby homes.
Shortly after the accident, the small carrier Voepass Linhas Aéreas said in a statement that there were 58 passengers and 4 crew members on board; they later revised that figure to 57 passengers.
The Associated Press reported that Voepass verified the deaths of all 62 people. The cause of the collision was not immediately confirmed.
According to the Associated Press, the plane crashed into a gated enclave in the Vinhedo section of the city when it was en route to Sao Paulo. Approximately 576 miles southwest of the crash site, the city of Cascavel was the departure point for the aircraft.
Voepass declared that the aircraft was a twin-engine turboprop ATR 72-500.
