Now, a year after the book’s release and ahead of Harry and wife Meghan Markle‘s upcoming trip to Colombia – a country where drug-related crime continues to ensue – a friend of his brother, Prince William, is pleading with the red-haired Royal to apologise for the error made in his youth.
When the best-selling memoir first hit the shelves of bookstores all over the world, many readers seemingly failed to expect the amount of rather personal admissions that would be made – including how he lost his virginity, and a recollection of the time his penis endured frostbite.

Another hotly-debated confession heard Harry, now 39, recall an occasion when he was 17-years-old and tried cocaine in an attempt to ‘feel different’.
The father-of-two wrote: “Of course I had been taking cocaine at that time. At someone’s house, during a hunting weekend, I was offered a line, and since then I had consumed some more.
“It wasn’t very fun, and it didn’t make me feel especially happy as seemed to happen to others, but it did make me feel different, and that was my main objective.
“To feel. To be different.”
Later this week, Harry and Meghan will be travelling to South America, ahead the first World Ministerial Conference on the Elimination of Violence Against Children, which will take place in November.

The endeavour to Colombia forms part of the couples’ new initiative, The Parents Network, which is aimed at helping parents whose children have been affected by bullying on social media.
Speaking to The Daily Beast at the weekend, a supposed ‘unnamed friend’ to Harry’s brother, the Prince of Wales, had a few choice words about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s forthcoming trip.
“Harry admitted to doing coke in his book,” he told the outlet.
“His trip to Colombia should include an admission that the country has been destroyed by narco-terrorists servicing wealthy drug users in the west, and he should stand up and apologize for his own participation in that disgusting trade.
“That would be a helpful intervention.”

He also went on to admit: “I can’t imagine online trolling is the biggest risk to children being exploited, enslaved and murdered by drug gangs.”
Tyla has contacted Prince Harry’s representatives for comment.
Harry and his former Suits actress wife, 43, have remained somewhat estranged from the British monarchy since 2021, when they resigned from Royal duties and fled to the States to raise their two children.
As such, in the best-selling autobiography, he also made a handful of seemingly slanderous remarks about members of his family – including that that his brother, the future King, once knocked him to the ground during a discussion about Meghan, and that he’d appealed to his father not to marry ‘wicked’ stepmother, Camilla.
