Matt Damon has said he “could never imagine living like” his friend Ben Affleck amid Jennifer Lopez divorce rumours.
In July, the Hollywood couple publicly listed their Beverly Hills mansion amid their recent marital issues.
“Bennifer” sparked split speculation earlier this year when they both attended major events without one another with insiders claiming their marriage has been over “for months.”
Matt Damon, who is childhood friends with Ben and co-wrote and starred in the 1997 smash hit Good Will Hunting has given his two cents on the 51-year-old’s personal life.
The 53-year-old confessed that he was fortunate his personal life had been mostly ignored due to his 19-year marriage to Luciana Barroso being considered “boring.”
Promoting his new film The Instigators, which he co-stars alongside Ben’s brother Casey in, Matt told Radio Time Podcast: “25 years ago, the gossip magazine culture was huge but they ignored me.”

“I wasn’t an exciting story; the guy who’s married, it’s boring! Scandal and sex, that’s what people would read magazines for. I’ve been really lucky.”
“Especially when I look at Casey’s brother, Ben. We’ve had parallel careers in a lot of ways, but I can’t imagine living under that scrutiny for 25 years.”
Matt and Luciana tied the knot in 2005 and have three daughters: Isabella, 18, Gia, 16, and Stella, 13.
Luciana is also the mother of daughter Alexia, 24, who is from a previous relationship.
Jennifer, 54, and Ben, 51, sparked split speculation earlier this year when they both attended major events without one another.
In May, the songstress attended the 2024 Met Gala, where she stunned in a Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, without Ben – despite being one of the co-chairs for the event.
Jennifer was also absent from the premiere of his new Netflix project Atlas.
It was later reported that the couple were “living apart” amid speculation surrounding their marriage.
Jennifer and Ben, famously dubbed Bennifer, got back together in May 2021 – 17 years after they called off their engagement.
The pair tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022, before they hosted a bigger celebration later that year.
