There is speculation that Harry may return to the UK for his uncle’s funeral. Such a return would likely see him coming face-to-face with his brother, Prince William, amidst their ongoing estrangement. A friend of Harry’s told the Daily Beast“in normal times, it would be unimaginable that Harry would not be there to support Jane.” However, they acknowledged the unique challenges of the current situation, noting that “everyone feels Harry’s attendance would just create too much drama. It will be very sad for him if he can’t make it.”

Despite the familial bonds, experts suggest that Robert Fellowes’ death is unlikely to mend the rift between Harry and William. Royal commentator Michael Cole told the MailOnline that while the princes are sure to offer “heartfelt condolences to their aunt Jane,” the death is “unlikely to affect family dynamics.” He added, “It is certain that they will express their sympathies separately, and strictly so, such is the gulf that has opened up between them in recent years.”
