Country music star Lauren Alaina postponed her next performances in order to grieve the loss of her father.
On social media, the “Road Less Traveled” singer announced the news and said, “I really don’t have words yet.”
On Wednesday, the former American Idol finalist informed her fans of the situation.
“We lost my dad last night, and I really don’t have words yet,” she wrote at the beginning of her Instagram post.
“I would like to inform everyone that I will not be performing at the three shows I had planned for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte. I will be spending time with my family at home.”
She thanked her supporters for their “prayers and understanding” at the conclusion of her address.
Many country music celebrities expressed their sympathies in statements they made after hearing the news.
The country music performer Jake Owen wrote, “Lauren, I’m so sorry for your loss.” “From my family, love and strength to you.”
“I truly apologize, my dear. As MacKenzie Porter put it, “We will keep you and your family in our prayers.”
“Sending you so much love,” Martina McBride wrote in her condolence letter.
Nobody is certain what killed her father at this point.
Lauren was on tour with Jason Aldean when she learned of her father’s passing.
DAD’S GIRLS
A few weeks before her father passed away, the Georgia Peaches singer honored her “old man” on Father’s Day.
“To “my old man” with a heart the size of Texas, happy Father’s Day!!” She shared her thoughts on Instagram.
“I hope you have the best day fishing and I love you so much, Daddy.”
She concluded by saying, “Love, your turd (pinky).”
Along with the post were adorable photos of the two of them on Lauren’s wedding day.
The moment Lauren’s dad saw her wedding gown for the first time, the photographer captured her in tears.
The 4th of February this year saw her marriage to Cam Arnold.
