Netflix have added a gangster film you may not have heard of, but with a true story behind it so insane, fans can’t even believe it’s real.
There is nothing wilder than watching a crazy film and about an hour in realising, ‘wait did this say it was a true story at the beginning?’
That’s an experience many fans on Netflix have been going through when watching this film.
Johnny Depp stars in the gangster flick (Warner Brothers)
With an IMDb score of 6.8/10 and a 73 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, it is mostly pretty well reviewed, but has been a massive hit since being added to Netflix.
Since being added to the streamer in the US it has already debuted at number four in the charts.
This comes in a relatively stacked week, with Uglies being a film Netflix has invested heavily into, as well as Rebel Ridge and the harrowing Into the Fire true crime doc.

The movie in question is Black Mass, which stars Johnny Depp as the real-life gangster James ‘Whitey’ Bulger.
It follows the ‘insane’ true story of Bulger, one of the most ‘infamous’ and violent criminals in American history, becoming an FBI informant in order to take down a Mafia family who invaded his turf.
In addition to Depp, the cast is stacked full of existing talent, and even a few actors who’ve gone on to get even bigger since it released in 2015.
The film has Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Joel Edgerton, Kevin Bacon, Jesse Plemons, Juno Temple, David Harbour, Julianne Nicholson, Bill Camp and Adam Scott in a revolving door of who’s who talent.
