The parents of a Washington state toddler want answers after they claim he suffered multiple injuries at day care. Teayana Fletcher and Anthony Barnes’ 14-month-old, Jayceon, was reportedly bitten by another child at an Early Head Start program in Spokane. Fletcher shared shocking images of her son’s injuries on Facebook. Now, she wants someone to explain how this keeps happening to Jayceon.
Fletcher believes her son’s new teachers do not pay enough attention to the kids in the classrooms, which she says ultimately left Jayceon seriously hurt. She wants the teachers investigated and held responsible.

Fletcher reportedly had issues with her kids being injured at the day care in the past.
“Let me just make it clear that I LOVE my kids daycare I love all the teachers EXCEPT Jayceons new teachers I feel they do not pay attention to the kids bc for the past 14 days that this new kid has been there my baby has came home beat the [expletive] up from him everyday. If your kids can’t keep there [expletive] hands and mouths to themselves keep them the [expletive] home cause there’s moms like me who will beat your ass bc your toddler don’t know how to act around babies,” she wrote on Facebook.
The angry mother told KHQ that Jayceon received multiple injuries during the last year while attending Early Head Start. The latest incident left him injured so severely, a hospital admitted Jayceon to treat his bites.
“His face was broken open, it’s bleeding it really broke my heart when I saw him,” Jayceon’s parents told KHQ. “He was bit six more times on his face and it broke skin. Like, that’s a problem like that’s definitely neglect.”
Fletcher claims one child in particular hurt her child.
She posted on Facebook that Jayceon received multiple injuries from a new little boy in class. She said she gave the child the benefit of the doubt at first. But after a second call, Fletcher had enough.
“I get a call from one of Jayceons teachers and was told Jayceon got bit in the face TWICE I’m not thinking too much of it kids will be kids I get to the daycare the incident report says FOUR bite marks I get my baby in my hands and see there are SEVEN f—ing bite marks on my baby’s face and eye,” the angry mother wrote. “I’m just thinking where the f— were the teachers wtf were you guys doing and why the f— did yall allow this little bastard to bite my baby this many times in his f—ing face.”
The parents contacted the day care center for answers.
They told KHQ the day care center allegedly said accidents happen, but they’d never seen anything as serious as Jayceon’s bite injuries. Fletcher told KHQ the whole thing shocked her because she did careful research before choosing the day care.
“I felt, I’m able to trust these people with my kids they made me comfortable,” she told the news outlet.
Fletcher and Barnes contacted authorities.
According to KHQ, the parents contacted the Washington State Department of Youth and Family Services regarding the alleged attack. Spokesperson Nancy Gutierrez told the news outlet she could not comment on the specific case, but an investigation is underway.
“The investigators will have to determine whether that allegation arises to the level of child abuse or neglect as defined by our state law,” she said.

Fletcher doesn’t understand how this happened.
She posted an update on Facebook and said her ire is with the two teachers in her son’s room.
“They’re saying it was just two toddlers having a disagreement but no they ALLOWED that baby to bite my son SEVEN times and they’re trying to cover their a–es about what really went down,” she wrote.
The Community Colleges of Spokane, which operates Early Head Start, would not comment to KHQ about the ongoing investigation.
