A woman took to Reddit to ask fellow redditors for advice over a situation that has been bothering her for quite some time.

Writing on the forum, she explained that she and her best friend, Rachel, have known each other for over 20 years. They became inseparable the moment they met and have shared their happiness and aches with each other. Rachel’s has been OP’s greatest support and the two have been through thick and thin together.

What’s most, when OP got engaged to her fiancé, Tom, Rachel seemed to be over the moon. She agreed to the role of a maid of honor and got herself involved in the planning of the wedding.

However, one night changed it all.

Namely, after a night out, OP, Tom, and Rachel went to OP’s apartment and while OP was exhausted and went straight to bed, Rachel and Tom decided to watch a movie together.

It wasn’t long before Tom entered OP’s bedroom, visibly disturbed, and told her Rachel tried to kiss him. He pulled away and Rachel got embarrassed and apologized, blaming it on the alcohol.

Desperate, OP wondered what to do next. She kept wondering if there were signs that Rachel might have had feelings for Tom that she failed to notice.

Confronting Rachel could mean losing her forever, but the feeling of her possible betrayal was too much to handle. If she decided to cut her out of her life completely in order to protect her relationship with Tom, she would lose her greatest support.

The planning of the wedding added another layer of stress, and OP couldn’t picture going through it without Rachel’s support. At the same time, she had the persistent worry that she was missing something important. She wanted to know if she should talk to Rachel about it, or focus on moving forward for the sake of her friendship and relationship.

The comments were various. While some advised her to cut all ties with Rachel, others wanted to know if she was certain Tom wasn’t lying in the first place.

OP hadn’t provided any updates.
