Actor Bruce Willis has been quite quiet since learning that he has aphasia, a disorder that impairs speech. His family has kept followers informed and has been transparent about his precise diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.
Bruce Willis’s daughter Rumer Willis wrote on social media, “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support, and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.”
In keeping with that, we thought it only fitting to provide you with an update on our cherished husband, father, and friend, now that we have a better knowledge of his circumstances. “After announcing Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, his health has worsened, leading to the more precise diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, or FTD.”
The actor’s family also stated that the physicians are doing everything within their ability to make things easier for him as his cognitive abilities continue to deteriorate.
To ensure that Willis, star of Die Hard, gets the greatest care possible, his wife Emma Heming is collaborating with a dementia specialist. Even though my grief can be paralysing at times, I’m learning to live with it. Grief, according to my step-daughter Scout Willis, is the purest and most profound kind of love. “I hope that brings you some solace as well,” she stated in 2022.
