A man named Michael Packard experienced a surreal event when he was swallowed whole by a whale while diving. During his third dive, he was unexpectedly struck by the whale and found himself in complete darkness, feeling intense pressure all around him. Initially fearing he was being attacked by a shark, he soon realized the truth.
Inside the whale, Packard struggled to retrieve his regulator while the creature thrashed about. He thought to himself, “This is how you die,” contemplating his family. However, in a surprising twist, the whale surfaced and violently shook its head, launching Packard out of its mouth.
Floating on the surface, he was relieved to be alive but concerned about the risk of decompression sickness. Reflecting on the ordeal, he felt grateful and thought, “I think I’m going to live.”
Interestingly, Packard has faced other dangers in his life, including a plane crash that left him with severe injuries. Despite these near-death experiences, he humorously claimed, “I’m still the same old guy doing my same old s***.”
