At the age of 38, Buddy Duress, a member of GOOD Time, passed away.
Buddy’s brother Christopher and friend and coworker Jay Karales confirmed to The U.S. Sun that Buddy had passed away.
The cause of the death, which remained a secret until late February, was a “drug cocktail” that comprised heroin and resulted in cardiac arrest.
Jay honored the film star on X, the former Twitter platform.
“This man was truly invaluable.” Buddy Duress commented, “His stories were the best, and he was without a doubt one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”
I said to myself, “That’s what acting needs to be like in the future,” after seeing him in Good Time in 2017. “That guy,” he continued.
“He exuded a certain genuineness and charm on screen that is uncommon these days,” Jay remarked.
He remarked, “Getting him into the Mass State Lottery was a dream, and I feel privileged to have been his director and his friend.”
TWICE AS PERFECT
Buddy starred in Julia Fox’s PVT Chat and Robert Pattinson’s Good Time.
The actor’s career was taking off when he ran afoul of the law in the summer of 2019.
According to the New York Post, he was arrested and detained in Rikers Island jail on suspicion of third-degree grand theft.
According to the news outlet, he was brought there ten times on suspicion of anything from identity theft to possessing heroin on his person.
In 2019, he was also present when his mother reported to the police that he had stolen cheques totaling $3,000 and had forged her signature.
“It’s insane.”
On Reddit and other social media platforms, Buddy’s admirers expressed their grief.
“Man, in good time, I loved him.” Someone posted, “May he rest in peace,” on a fan forum.
“This is absurd.” He has good acting skills. Poor creature. Another added, “May he rest in peace.”
“My, how far he would have gone.” A third person said, “Rest in peace.”
“I hope he finds peace now. He was excellent in PVT Chat and Good Time. “Very sad,” another person remarked.
