Most people spend their entire lives looking forward to the day they can retire. What could be better than to stop getting up in the morning to work, day after day, and when you have money that you have saved all your life and you can do whatever you want with it? Nothing better than that. We can’t think of anything better. Of course, it would have been better if it had happened at an age in life when you had more energy, but you can’t have everything, so there’s no point in thinking about it. For most retirees, the question is not whether they can enjoy their pension, but how. A talented builder and handyman, Flint helped couples he knew with his skills. They had an old bus in bad shape that they called the Buster, and the plan was to drive the Buster to Mexico once Flint finished working on it. Will enjoy it. That was a question that Greg Flint Ben
Fate intervened
He offered the couple money for Buster, but to his surprise they refused to accept it. Flint said: “I always liked small houses on wheels. I wanted simplicity, savings, less stuff.”
“I fell in love with Buster and had a vision about it. I asked to buy it, and they just gave it to me for free.” Now Flint has an old bus, a knack for building things, and a lot of free time. If you were wondering what came out of all this, then wait and see.
Buster’s renovation.
The 70-year-old Flint began a renovation that will send you to a completely different place. Anyone who enters the 10-meter-long Chevrolet bus from 1965 is immediately amazed by its new design, which definitely reminds of the Hobbit house of Bilbo Baggins from The Lord of the Rings. With chairs, tables, and an amazing wooden design, Flint’s bus feels and looks like a warm and cozy wooden house…except for the wheels of course. There is a kitchen with everything you need, including a sink, dishwasher and oven. He said:
“Without Buster, it would have been very difficult for me to live on my modest income.” “I redesigned the interior of the bus and created organic engravings that make the light flow with the help of cedar trees that naturally bent and bent over time and weather conditions.” “The countertop, the kitchen table and the backs of the benches are all made from a cedar box that was a gift from my house.” Flint also plans to build a fireplace. He knows how cold his home state of Idaho can get in the winter months, so he decided to do something about it. I wish we had half the skills Greg Flint has. He definitely has his dream house.
