When her daughter didn’t return after 10 minutes, Tameka went in and found Tayvia in real distress. “I didn’t know what was happening,” she said.
“I said, ‘We have to go to the hospital,’ but she couldn’t move her legs, so we ended up calling 911,” Tameka continued.
Shortly after the paramedics arrived, Tayvia gave birth to a 6 pound, 1 ounce baby boy.
“When we walked out, everybody was clapping and people were lined up to see,” Tameka explained.
Tayvia named her son Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork in honor of the unusual place where he was born. Some people suggested that she name the baby “Golden,” but Tayvia preferred “Corral” instead. She also has a 2-year-old son named Taylon.
Golden Corral excitedly shared the news of Tamarr’s birth on their X (formerly Twitter) account, calling him their “youngest fan.”
“As surprised as our team was at the news of a baby being born at our restaurant, we are truly honored to play such a momentous role in little Tamaar’s life,” a Golden Corral spokesperson told TODAY. “But no honor compares to having Tamaar carry on the ‘Golden Corral’ brand name in his own name, Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork!”
Tayvia Woodfork shared that the chain had sent her a box of baby gifts and a Golden Corral gift card.
