Many of us struggle with insecurities about our physical appearance, but height is typically a fixed trait, determined by our genetics. While most people learn to accept their stature, one woman took drastic measures to change hers.
Theresia Fischer, a German model, invested a staggering £130,000 in an extreme surgical procedure designed to lengthen her legs by 5.5 inches. This procedure involved the insertion of metal rods into her legs, resulting in her reaching a height of six feet. Regrettably, Theresia now wishes she had not undergone the surgery.
Her decision was largely influenced by persistent comments from her ex-husband about her appearance. In a recent interview, the 31-year-old model shared her regret and explained that her ex-husband had pressured her to alter her body, despite her initial satisfaction with her height. At the time, she was unaware that such procedures were even possible.
Theresia revealed that her ex-husband frequently told her, “Theresia, you know I like taller women. I would really prefer this. You could grow up to 14 centimeters taller. You can’t achieve this without me. You need my approval.” These repeated remarks led her to believe that she was insufficient without his validation.
She admitted, “I’ve never dealt with this kind of pressure before because I was always happy with my body. I now feel ashamed for consenting to a procedure that I regret.”
Theresia has also faced significant backlash online. She said, “Although I’m now content with the appearance of my legs, I am inundated with hate on the internet. It hurts a lot.”
