Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are still moving forward with their divorce, even though they were seen kissing during a brunch in Los Angeles with their blended family.
A source told People that they had the lunch so the kids could spend time together and that Lopez is trying to stay friendly with Ben. Despite this, they are continuing with the divorce.
The source also mentioned that they are working out their financial matters peacefully, noting that they didn’t have a prenup when they got married in July 2022.
The source said that while a divorce is always tough, Jennifer Lopez doesn’t want to be selfish about it.
She’s happy to see the kids getting along and having fun together because their happiness is her priority.
On Saturday, Jennifer and Ben Affleck were seen together at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel with Ben’s kids, Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12), and Jennifer’s twins, Max and Emme (16).
The family was seen walking into the fancy hotel together, while their kids went ahead of them.
An insider told Page Six that Lopez, 55, and her soon-to-be ex-husband, 52, were holding hands and kissing while sitting at a separate table from their children.
Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck’s ex-wife, also visited the hotel to pick up Seraphina and Samuel after brunch.
The former couple also has an 18-year-old daughter, Violet, who is away at Yale University for her freshman year.
Saturday was the first time Lopez and Affleck were seen together since Lopez filed for divorce in August, saying they had irreconcilable differences.
Lopez noted that they separated on April 26 and chose to end their marriage on the second anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia.
Affleck and Lopez’s divorce could get messy since they didn’t have a prenup. According to California law, they will need to split the money they’ve earned since they got married.
During their marriage, they worked on several films together, and Lopez started a cocktail brand called Delola. Her net worth is reported to be $400 million.
Affleck’s net worth is $150 million less than Lopez’s.
The couple bought a luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills together, which they put up for sale for $68 million after their split.
Lopez is still looking for a new home, while Affleck bought a $20.5 million mansion in Pacific Palisades in July.
