There’s often an invisible barrier between celebrities and fans, and it seems as though you’ll never cross over to becoming close to your idol.

That is, unless your idol is Billie Eilish.

If you’re not following the ‘Ocean Eyes’ singer on Instagram, you’ve probably missed out on one of the greatest days of your life after the 22-year-old surprised her 115 million followers by gifting them access to her inner circle.

Now, if you don’t know, on the social media site there are different levels of sharing content.

If your account is public – like Eilish’s – there are things which everyone can see, such as pictures, reels and Stories or there are Stories that are exclusive to your Close Friends list. This feature allows you to curate a list of followers that can see your private Stories.

Oh, what I’d do to become close friends with Eilish.

However, she’s only gone and added all followers to her Close Friends list on Instagram on Thursday (4 April).

And, fans have obviously been losing their minds after making the realization.

The ‘What Was I Made For’ hit-maker first shared with her new besties a photo of a hand in front of the night sky and eagle-eyed viewers noticed the little green label at the top of the image telling them that they’d been added to her list.

Eilish’s antics were soon trending on X and many shared their excitement at the move.

One fan posted a screenshot of Eilish’s Story, writing: “Mom: why is billie eilish at your wedding??’ me: that’s my bestie.”

Another shared a clip of YouTube queen Trisha Paytas eating with a cardboard cutout of a shadow person and wrote: “Me and Billie Eilish after she added me to her close friends.”

Someone else commented alongside a picture of Cillian Murphy winning an Oscar: “How I feel after seeing myself in Billie Eilish’s instagram close friends.”

While another chimed in: “Opening instagram and pretending that billie eilish personally put me on her close friends list.”

It certainly looks like fans are taking this victory and running with it.

She also shared an image of a tattoo to her Close Friends, and, of course, people lost their minds.

Billie Eilish has accused Variety magazine of ‘outing’ her during a red carpet interview after she said she is ‘attracted to’ women.

Eilish, 21, made headlines this weekend as she admitted she was confused over the reaction to her statement that she was ‘attracted to’ women.

The singer made the comment as she featured as part of Variety’s Power of Women issue last month, when she discussed her life, relationships, and dealing with public pressure.

During the interview, Eilish said: “I never felt like I could relate to girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real.”

The comment made people’s ears prick up, and led to Eilish being asked about her sexuality when she appeared at Variety’s Hitmakers awards.

While on the red carpet, Eilish was asked by Variety if she had intended to come out in her earlier interview.

“No I didn’t,” Eilish responded, adding: “But I kind of thought, ‘Wasn’t it obvious?’… I didn’t realize people didn’t know.”

The 21-year-old went on to say she doesn’t ‘really believe’ in the concept of coming out, saying: “I’m just like, ‘Why can’t we just exist?’ I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I just didn’t talk about it. Whoops.”

Recalling her reaction to the published story, Eilish continued: “I saw the article and I was like, oh… I guess… I came out today! […] But it’s exciting to me because I guess people didn’t know… but it’s cool that they know.”

After appearing on the red carpet, Eilish went on to accept the award for Film Song of the Year alongside her brother and collaborator, Finneas.

The pair worked together on the track ‘What Was I Made For’ from the Barbie movie.

However, as the discussion around her sexuality continued, Eilish took to Instagram late on Sunday (December 3) evening and accused Variety of ‘outing’ her.

Alongside a series of images which began with a picture of Eilish apparently sitting on the toilet, with her underwear and jeans around her news, the singer wrote: “thanks variety for my award and for also outing me on a red carpet at 11 am instead of talking about anything else that matters.”

Eilish then clarified that she likes ‘boys and girls’, adding: “Leave me alone about it please.”

“Literally who cares,” Eilish concluded, before moving on to promote her song from the Barbie soundtrack.

“Stream ‘what was i made for’,” she concluded the post.

When contacted by UNILAD for comment, Variety directed us to the cover story interview in which Eilish said she was ‘physically attracted’ to women.

We’ve all thirsted over celebrity TikToks, but it’s rare that we get to see stars also doing it.

However, fans have been stunned after Billie Eilish left a rather, um, risqué comment on a recent video by Megan Thee Stallion.

In fact, the moment has virtually broken the internet – just like the original video did. Check it out:

Until recently, Stallion had kept away from the spotlight after Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting her in the foot.

Having now put the past behind her, the 28-year-old has been sharing her toned body on social media and teasing fans with her upcoming projects.

In her latest TikTok, which was uploaded on September 18, the singer showed off her impressive abs before twerking later on in the video.

In the caption, she wrote: “Before the gym, she toned but it still move…don’t panic”

Understandably, fans have been going wild over the clip which has been viewed over 2.1 million times on the app.

One even gushed that they’d watched Stallion’s video ‘more than a 100 times’, as they thirsted over the rapper.

They weren’t the only ones though, as singer Eilish left her NSFW comment on the video.

In the now-deleted post, she wrote: “Megan, I’m literally free whenever”, which was a pretty staggering move considering the ‘Lovely’ singer is notoriously private about her personal life.

Having seen the comment, fans went into a frenzy and hilariously reacted to the Grammy award winner.

One wrote: “Why am I not surprised that you’re here!”

Another was a little more surprised, writing: “Billie, what are you doing here!”

Meanwhile, a third felt a little sorry for the superstar and the intense reaction to her girl crush.

They added: “poor Billie girl…everbody can see this now.”

However, Eilish may have more opportunities to thirst over the Stallion, as the rapper has been flooding her social media with videos of her toned body.

It caused many fans to speculate about the rapper’s new training regime, some even wondering if she might make an appearance in a superhero franchise.

While this is obviously still unconfirmed, Stallion is definitely a Wonder Woman to us!

Eilish, 21, now has at least three tattoos after first revealing her plans to get one in 2017, when she assured she wouldn’t be getting any ‘face tattoos’.

“The only tattoos I wanna get are the ones that barely anyone can see,” she told Vanity Fair at the time.

She revealed the following year that she’d followed through with her plans and gone under the needle, and in 2021 Eilish said she’d since had two more permanent pieces of work inked on her body.

The singer didn’t entirely stick to her plan of getting tattoos ‘barely anyone can see’, with one featured prominently on the side of her hand.

That particular piece of art features a drawing of some fairies, which is inspired by a book called Fairyopolis that Eilish had growing up.

“They’re like my little guardian angel fairies,” the singer said.

She also has one ‘big boy’ tattoo of a dragon on her waist, which she’s shown off on Instagram, but it’s her first tattoo that she vowed to keep hidden.

When she revealed in 2018 that she’d had her first ink done, she said: “I did get a tattoo, but you won’t ever see it.”

It wasn’t until a couple of years later that Eilish revealed more details about the tattoo, explaining that it’s located in the middle of her ribcage and says ‘Eilish’.

“Yes, I love myself,” she said.

The position of the tattoo means it would typically be covered by clothes, and therefore easy to hide from the public, but fans got a glimpse of the artwork thanks to a snap shared by Eilish’s friend Annabel Zimmer, the daughter of film composer, Hans Zimmer.

Annabel posted the picture as she enjoyed some nice weather with Eilish, who was seen in the photo smiling and tilting her head towards the sun.

She had sunglasses on and her hair pulled back, with the tattoo just visible below the string of her bikini.

It’s not exactly the clearest photo, but it might be the best fans are going to get after Eilish’s vow.

Rolling Stone has previously reported that the tattoo is drawn in an ‘ornate, gothic font’, and it’s just about possible to make out the pointed letters of her name written in black across her skin.

With her vow to keep the tattoo hidden officially broken, maybe a face tattoo will be next on the list?
