Elisangela Gazano in Brazil died after falling into a pool just hours after marrying her fiancé
A bride died on her wedding day after falling into a swimming pool at the reception.
Elisangela Gazano, 38, had been celebrating her wedding at a rented country house in Limeira, São Paulo on April 14.
Non-swimmer Elisangela reportedly slipped while dancing and fell into the pool, with state officials later confirming she had fallen in.
Just a few hours earlier, mom-of-five Elisangela had posted an image online showing her signing paperwork with her partner.
Guests at the reception attempted to rescue the bride from the pool and called emergency services.
But despite their efforts she went into cardiac arrest, and was declared dead on arrival at hospital.

Elisangela’s friend Flavia Silva paid tribute to her in a post on social media.
She wrote: “I met you over the last few days in the market and you were so happy that you were going to get married.
“Look how fate is a dream being fulfilled and on the same day without knowing that there would be a goodbye that there would be your departure.”
She added: “Your joy was contagious, your laughter was the best and when you put it together with mine, everyone stopped to look at you.
“May God comfort the hearts of your family and your husband. My condolences to everyone. You will be missed.”
In addition to her wedding, Elisangela and her loved ones had also been celebrating the birthday of her daughter.
Officials from São Paulo state since confirmed that Elisangela died after falling into the pool.
Elisangela’s funeral has been scheduled to take place on April 16.

In April 2023, 34-year-old bride Samantha Miller was killed on her wedding day when a car smashed into a golf caddy in which she and her husband Aric Hutchinson had been travelling.
The car was being driven by Jamie Lee Komoroski, 26, who was found to have been three times over the alcohol limit to be in charge of a vehicle.
Last month, Komoroski was freed from jail and placed under house arrest.
She was ordered to wear a GPS tag and SCRAM ankle bracelet.
This monitors the blood alcohol levels in the wearer every 30 minutes through their sweat.
Paying tribute to his late wife in May 2023, Hutchinson said: “She was so happy. I mean, planning a wedding, as most people know, is extremely stressful. And she just had a weird, like, calmness that night.”
