Celine Dion performed at the opening of the Olympics in Paris. The singer appeared in a luxurious Dior dress.
The artist, who suffers from muscle stiffness syndrome, performed Edith Piaf’s song Hymne à l’Amour. The star chose a truly luxurious dress for such an important mission. It took over 1,000 craftsmanship hours to create this outfit.
The outfit, embroidered with sequins and 500 meters of fringe with an elegant silk train, seemed to come to life with every movement of the singer. Designer Maria Grazia Chiuri wanted to achieve just such a wow effect – and she succeeded. Pictures appeared on the Internet showing the process of preparing the singer’s outfit.
Bloggers discussed Celine’s image. “Incredible beauty!”, “This is exactly the dress you need to become the queen of the evening”, “I adore Celine, her return could only be like this – bright, sensual and very feminine,” users wrote.
Dion assured that she did not expect such a warm welcome. The Canadian singer remained in Paris: she was surrounded by fans everywhere, who emotionally expressed their admiration for the star’s courage.
Celine performed at the opening of the Olympics for the second time. She first appeared on stage with this mission in 1996 at the Atlanta Stadium.
