Famous actors and people from the movie industry walked the red carpet. And you can be sure that everyone’s outfit was talked about like people were having a big test on fashion.
One star whose outfit got a lot of attention was Charlize Theron. She wore a shiny black outfit that caught a lot of eyes.
She looked amazing at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars Party. But online, people couldn’t agree if they liked her outfit or not.
As soon as pictures of the 48-year-old were shared on social media, people started commenting with their thoughts. Some liked her choice of wearing a see-through dress that showed her underwear, while others didn’t.
One person wrote, “You look so great in every picture, are there any bad ones?”

Another person said, “I am her fan… but here, I don’t like her hair, she’s so skinny, and the dress, hmmm, no… that’s just my opinion.”
Charlize Theron has talked openly about her fashion choices before, saying people should always go with how they feel.
“I feel like there shouldn’t be any rules,” she told People last year. “I really feel like if you just go with how you feel and how much you love it, then it’s not a problem.”
When it comes to outfits that some people don’t like, Theron said, “I mean, there are a lot of dresses that I know people didn’t like, but I’m like, I looked at myself in the mirror that night and I was feeling myself.”
