Shelley Long was spotted out in public near her home. The star has been living a life away from the limelight of Hollywood for years.
Famous actress Shelley Long, 74, best known for playing Diane Chambers on the iconic series “Cheers,” recently appeared in public after staying out of Tinseltown’s spotlight for a long time. Long took her dog for a walk in her neighborhood, Pacific Palisades.
The “Night Shift” star’s casual public appearance comes just after she skipped attending the legendary “Cheers” reunion at this year’s Emmy’s. Though the show ran for 11 total seasons before coming to an end, Long quit at the end of the 5th season in 1986.

In 2012, Long explained her departure in an interview where she disclosed, “The ‘Cheers’ writers were the finest in television. But I felt like I was repeating myself; it bothered me a little bit. And I was getting movie offers, which made people think, ‘Oh, she’s so snooty. She thinks she’s going to do movies.’ “
