Fans have flooded social media with praise for Jennifer Lopez after footage of her introducing her child Emme with gender-neutral pronouns was shared online.

The ‘Booty’ singer introduced her then-14-year-old child while performing at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala at Dodgers Stadium in LA on Thursday.

And fans were quick to notice that the doting mom introduced her talented offspring only using they/them pronouns, telling the crowd: “The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t.

“So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey.”

J-Lo went on to describe Emme as her “favorite duet partner”, telling those in attendance: “They cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time. So if you will indulge me.”

Neither Lopez nor Emme have publicly stated how the teen chooses to identify, but that hasn’t stopped fans from showering the mom with praise for appearing to support her child.

A second wrote: “I’m guessing Emme identifies as [non-binary], glad that Jlo is respectful of Emme’s pronouns.”

A third added: “Can you imagine your mom, the most important person in your life, accepting everything about you and loving you for you! The world would be amazing.”

“I love how us mothers will support our children no matter what! I love this, go Emme,” wrote a fourth.

During the heartwarming performance, Lopez dropped to her knees and sang the lyrics directly to Emme: “Darling don’t be afraid I have loved you / For a thousand years / I’ll love you for a thousand more.”

The last time the two performed together was back at the 2020 Super Bowl LIV.

During that performance, the Lopez and Emme electrified viewers during the halftime show, with the then-11-year-old performing their mom’s 2001 hit ‘Let’s Get Loud’.

Young Emme then broke into a version of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born In The USA’.

Lopez shares Emme with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony – along with Emme’s twin, Max.
