Groom’s text to bride-to-be weeks before wedding leaves people enraged: ‘Girl, run’

A bride-to-be has shared a text message she got from her fiancé and it’s safe to say it’s left people seriously divided.

Avery Beverly, 22, who is from Florida, is due to marry her partner Aiden in two months’ time.

The content creator, who has 127,000 followers, too to TikTok to share her bewilderment after she received a text about the wedding from her husband-to-be, which has already amassed over 1.1million views.

And it’s safe to say, some people were pretty unimpressed…

In the clip, Avery is seen looking bemused as she put a hand to her lips, with the overlay text reading: “The text I just got from my fiancé. We get married in 2 months.”

She then shared a screenshot of the groom asking: “What time is our wedding?”

Avery also captioned the video: “Come on now.”

Needless to say, many people in the comments were less than impressed that the groom didn’t know one of the most basic elements of the day – what time the wedding was set to begin.

They commented: “Trust me, if he’s like this for something this important, it’ll be like that forever. Run.”

Another added: “I will never understand fiancés who aren’t locked in on details. My husband was such a partner in our wedding planning, he found our venue and our caterer, girl if he’s not an informed partner now…”

Others commented: “this would send me in rage, but im glad u find it funny,” “Girl, RUN,” “I would lose it,” and: “girl run. He already has a mom, doesn’t need a second one.”

Others were more understanding, adding: “the comments are wild. let’s normalize him double checking + asking in advance ! mine would ask me to put it in our shared calendar lol.”

Another added: “I mean 2 months that’s fine, it’s one week before that’s the issue,” while someone else commented: “I mean, at least he’s not asking the day of!”

It seems Avery’s experience isn’t a one-off, however, as many people said they’d also had similar things happen in the run-up to their weddings.

One wrote: “Literally my husband when we were engaged,” while another added: “So we all have the same husband huh.”

Others commented: “it’s okay, my husband did it too. I think it’s a guy thing,” and: “my husband asked the day before at rehearsal what time he was supposed to be there and what time the wedding was.”

Another revealed: “My fiancé asked if he needed to take the whole day off work (we’re doing a Friday wedding),” and someone else wrote: “Girl same. My husband thought the wrong time up until THE DAY OF THE WEDDING.”
