The Invictus Games were the only time Prince Harry went to London without his wife. He didn’t get to see his father, though, because he had more important things to do.
King Charles III and Prince Harry’s friendship has been very tense since June 2020, when the Duke of Sussex stopped being a royal. Prince Harry recently went to the UK to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, an event he started with the help of Prince William and Kate Middleton. This stress was clear.
Even though Prince Harry was in London for this important event, he did not meet King Charles III. It was said that the King had instead held another “high-profile meeting.” He met soccer star David Beckham, who talked to the king about the King’s Foundation, which is Charles’s charity work. He was busy with Beckham and not his son… From Harry’s point of view, what could be worse than that?
Why wasn’t the King there for his son?
There was a 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games in the UK. Prince Harry helped start the games for injured veterans and service members with help from his brother and sister-in-law, Prince William and Kate Middleton. While he was there, he invited King Charles III and his family. However, no one from the royal family showed up to the event.
There had been a lot of talk about Prince Harry and King Charles III possibly meeting. In response, Prince Harry’s office put out a message. It made it clear that there would be no meeting because the King was very busy. Many people have asked and rumors have been going around about whether The Duke will meet up with his father while he is in the U.K. this week. The statement said, “Unfortunately, it will not be possible because His Majesty has a full schedule.” Prince Harry said he understood why his father had to be busy and hoped they could meet again someday.
