The late Queen died aged 96 on September 8, 2022, after over 70 years on the throne.

The monarch had continued working right up until the day before she died, and had to pull out of her final engagement after her health began failing.

Now, further details have been revealed about the Queen’s final days in Robert Hardman’s new book, Charles III: New King, New Court.

The book claims that Queen Elizabeth had been “buzzy” and preparing to join an important meeting from her bedside just two days before her death.

Two days before she died, she had met with the departing British prime minister, Boris Johnson, and his replacement, Liz Truss, at Balmoral and attended a drinks party that same evening.

A guest who’d attended the party told Hardman: “She was quite buzzy over pre-dinner drinks.

“But then she said she was going upstairs to have dinner alone.”

The Queen then spent the following day in bed, but had reportedly arranged to dial in to an important meeting via video link through the Privy Council.

However, as her health declined, it was then amended to be an audio-only call from her bedroom, but minutes before the meeting was set to begin, the decision was made to cancel entirely following “medical advice”.

Later that same evening, on September 7, Princess Anne the then Prince Charles’s private secretary advised him to urgently make his way to his mother’s bedside as the end was approaching.

Charles had visited his mother, but Hardman reports that he was ultimately told that she’d died at 3:10PM on September 8 over the phone, having left her briefly to have a moment to himself outside.

Other members of the Royal Family had also been called to attend Balmoral to see the monarch before her death, but the majority were still en route to Scotland when the Queen died, according to the book as cited by News.com.au.

Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and his wife Sophie were later confirmed to have landed 40 minutes after the Queen’s death.

Prince Harry also revealed in his autobiography, Spare, that he had learned of his grandmother’s passing after receiving a BBC breaking news alert moments after his own flight had landed.

Following Queen Elizabeth’s death, she was laid to rest on September 19 with a state funeral at Westminster Abbey, the first time a monarch’s funeral was held there since that of George II in 1760.

After a committal service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, later the same day, the Queen’s body was interred alongside her husband Prince Philip’s body in the King George VI Memorial Chapel in a private ceremony attended by her closest family members.

Her son then became King Charles III, the current reigning monarch.

Shauna Rae has responded to people who keep calling her a woman “stuck in an eight-year-old’s body”.

The reality TV personality was introduced to viewers in 2022 on the hit TLC series, I Am Shauna Rae.

The 25-year-old has a rare medical condition, which stems from the chemotherapy treatment she received for brain cancer when she was just six months old.

While the treatment successfully saved her life, it affected her pituitary gland, resulting in her developing pituitary dwarfism.

Her TLC series explores how she lives her life, her future plans, and how she’s been unfortunate in love and draws attention from the wrong people due to her appearance.

Rae currently stands at 3ft 10in tall and weighs 50lbs and has been described as being a woman “stuck in an eight-year-old’s body,” on the TV show’s synopsis.

However, she has since spoken out against the phrasing on TikTok, revealing why she doesn’t identify with it.

“I just want to correct your wording. I know that ‘the woman stuck in the body of an eight-year-old’ is the catchphrase that’s attached to me, but I don’t personally connect with it. I think it’s actually very inaccurate,” she said in the video.

She continued “I am not stuck in the body of an eight-year-old. I am a 23-year-old woman whose body is 23 years old. It’s matured. It’s gone through puberty. I’ve grown in areas that eight-year-olds don’t until they’ve hit puberty, which is later in life. I am just a shorter-statured woman, and my body is at the average height of an eight-year-old.”

Watch the video below:

The TV star shared the video on her Instagram page with a caption clarifying her explanation: “Definitely going to get some more out there but I think this one is super important because it gives y’all insight into how I actually view myself no matter what verbiage that’s attached with pituitary dwarfism.”

“I do believe that if you genuinely take the time you’ll notice that I’m no different just short,” she concluded.

Many users took to the comment to praise her for her response. “Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. It’s not easy, especially on the internet! You seem a very sensitive and smart young woman. Keep going, sis,” one user said.

“The fact you have to explain this is unfortunate @thereal_shaunarae99 your beautiful inside n out,” another commented.

Rae has candidly opened up about the challenges she faces daily due to her appearance, such as the treatment she often receives at restaurants.

“So, getting things like kids’ menus, kids’ cups, crayons at restaurants is common,” she said in the video shared in March 2023. “It’s less common, I’ve noticed when I’m out with my friends – very common when I’m out with older sisters or my family in general… I think if they see you in a family environment, they see a short-statured person, they just immediately think ‘child’ but it happens all the time,” she continued.

The reality star explained the importance of raising awareness for pituitary dwarfism in the caption of the clip, writing: “This is something that happens to me very often, and use to be an every time I went out occurrence.”

“I’m hoping that by raising awareness for my type of dwarfism and disability, that it will help the world and us as humans be more open-minded when it comes to the variety of people we have in our world,” she added.

The supermodel who has been known to rock some incredible ‘fits to mark the spooky holiday, appeared as E.T. for her annual bash at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City.

Channeling the iconic alien from Spielberg’s 1982 classic, the 51-year-old’s costume was complete with a glowing fingertip and a motorized headpiece, as well as a mouth and eyes that an outside party could operate.

Klum’s husband, German musician Tom Kaulitz, also made an appearance at the event and while he usually opts for a ‘fit that compliments his wife’s, this time he took a leaf out of her book and also suited up as E.T. for the event.

Speaking to the New York Times, the costume’s designer opened up about the preparations they had to undergo to help Klum pull off this look.

Apart from studying the movie in detail and grabbing a few bottles of baby powder and KY Jelly, Mike Marino also made sure Klum’s robotic headpiece was glued into place, speeding up the drying process with the aid of multiple blow dryers.

Marino also added that the suits were put together using 3D printing with a zippered seam running from the top of the head down to the midpoint of the spine.

The team also added a few more skin pieces as well as a layer of airbrush makeup on top to make the entire look appear seamless – the attention to detail was insane!

And of course, the internet was loving it!

“Heidi Klum is STILL the reigning Queen of Halloween!” wrote one user in response to a video of the transformation.

“She always has the best costumes,” another added.

“She nailed [it],” a third chimed in.

However, Klum wasn’t the only one to think outside of the galaxy as Janelle Monet Janelle Monáe also decided to channel her inner E.T.

“You finally came home. Welcome back E.T. Thank you Google Maps. Starring yours truly as both E.T. & Janellllliot,” the performer, who goes by she/her and they/them pronouns, wrote while sharing photos of the extravagant costume on Instagram earlier this week.

She also made an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson show as the character, stunning audiences as well as the host in the process.

Earlier this month, Monáe revealed that the elaborate costume was years in the making.

“I’ve shared a costume idea with someone’s team, actually, and tried to get a price for how much it would cost. And then I found out that person was going to be that and I had been planning this costume for two years,” she recalled to PEOPLE, only noting at the time that she would be dressed as “an iconic movie character.”

Well, she certainly pulled it off!

Tiger King star Joe Exotic, 61, announces engagement to 33-year-old fellow inmate amid 21-year prison sentence

Joe Exotic has announced that he is happily engaged to an inmate he met in prison!

For those unfamiliar, Exotic – whose legal name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage – became a worldwide sensation in 2020 with the release of Tiger King, which detailed his life as a zookeeper and his feud with animal rights activist Carole Baskin.

Exotic’s conviction stems from a 2017 incident where he allegedly offered $10,000 to an undercover government agent to kill Baskin, CEO of Big Cat Rescue.

Prosecutors presented a secretly recorded meeting in which Exotic reportedly instructed the agent to “cap her and drive off.”

Despite his conviction, Exotic has consistently denied these allegations, claiming his intentions were misinterpreted.

His prison sentence, initially 22 years, was reduced to 21 years in 2022 following an appeal. In the years since, he has publicly pleaded with high-profile figures like former President Donald Trump and Kourtney Kardashian – though, without success.

Well, despite his sentence, it seems that Exotic has found some happiness behind bars.

He has revealed his engagement to Jorge Marquez!

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Exotic introduced Marquez, a 33-year-old from Mexico, describing him as “amazing.”

In his message, Exotic, 61, expressed his hopes of marriage and a potential life together with Marquez.

“Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum, or we be leaving America when we both get out,” he wrote. “Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.”

The Kansas native reportedly filed a marriage application with federal prison authorities, marking the first steps in formalizing his relationship with Marquez, who, according to CBS News, is also serving time for immigration-related issues.

The couple remains hopeful that the prison will approve their wedding application. Exotic also expressed optimism about his pending legal appeals.

Exotic has called for a presidential pardon for both himself and Marquez, adding an appeal for asylum on behalf of his fiancé.

“I wish someone that is President or wins the Presidency would do the right thing and pardon me so I could move past this nightmare that my own country has caused for the last seven years of my life,” Exotic said. “All I did was build a zoo, and some people were very jealous. Then I was put into prison by my own country.”

In a phone interview with Entertainment Tonight, Exotic shared that he and Marquez had recently filed for a marriage license and are now waiting on official approval.

“He has picked out December 12 as the date we’re hoping to get this approved by,” Exotic explained.

However, the application requires clearance from the prison warden, psychiatric staff, and a chaplain before it can proceed.

“We love each other very much, [and] spend every minute of the day together,” Exotic added.

Reflecting on past relationships, Exotic shared the challenges he has faced.

“I’ve been through some s*** in my days. I buried two husbands, the third one ran off with $2.6 million bucks from Netflix and left my a here, but Jorge is a very amazing young man,” he said.

Dwyane Wade speaks out after ‘unrecognizable’ statue of him sparks backlash

Dwyane Wade has spoken out following backlash of an “unrecognizable” statue that was sculpted of his most famous moment.

As previously reported, the statue, which depicts Wade in his memorable 2009 “this is my house” moment after a game-winning three-pointer against the Chicago Bulls, was intended as a tribute to one of Wade’s defining career highlights.

It was installed outside Miami’s Kaseya Center, and has ignited social media discussions and drawn mixed reactions from fans.

“Dwyane Wade’s Heat career – 15 seasons, 3 championships, all-time leader in points, games, assists, and steals – and one completely unrecognizable statue,” sports outlet Barstool Sports posted on X, adding that Wade’s legacy warranted a more accurate representation.

Wade’s long-time friend and fellow NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce even suggested that Wade might deserve a “redo,” remarking: “The Heat legend was too legendary for the statue to miss the mark,” according to BBC News.

Sculptor Omri Amrany, who co-created the statue, has since responded to the backlash, defending the artistic approach.

“I want to be an artist that creates an in-your-face response,” Amrany told Front Office Sports. “You cannot expect all of human society will have a positive reaction.”

Speaking to WPLG Local 10 News, he added: “I couldn’t do better than that. I don’t think anybody else can do better than that. It is what it is, and we will love it forever.”

Well, Wade himself has now given his thoughts on the statue, and he seems impressed.

“If I wanted it to look like me, I’d just stand outside the arena and y’all can take photos,” Wade explained on Monday, one day after the unveiling, via ESPN.

“It don’t need to look like me. It’s the artistic version of a moment that happened that we’re trying to cement.”

“I care, but I don’t,” Wade said. “The social media world is about opinions. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone, use y’all opinions. Please talk more about us. Talk more about a statue, come on down to see it, take some photos, send some memes. We don’t care.”

Wade continued to defend the statue at a halftime ceremony during the Detroit-Miami game on Monday, coinciding with the 21st anniversary of his debut with the Heat.

Addressing the crowd, he emphasized the significance of the tribute, stating it was as much for the fans as it was for him.

“There’s only a few organizations that have a statue outside. There’s not even 15 players who played this game of basketball that have a statue outside,” Wade told the audience.

“So, for me to be the vessel that’s used, to be the chosen one, I’m proud of it. I’m proud because we worked very, very, very hard to create an image that will stand for a very long time that expresses what the Miami Heat, my family, and our fan base is about.”

Wade added: “So, don’t let nobody talk about our house. Because this is our house. They’re on the outside. Leave them out there.”

Despite the feedback, Wade expressed appreciation for the sculptors’ efforts, acknowledging their commitment and creativity.

“I don’t know a lot of people with a statue. Do you? Anybody here, you all know anything about the process of a statue? No one out there do neither,” Wade said.

Wade also addressed the memes circulating online, some of which suggested the statue more closely resembles actor Laurence Fishburne than the NBA Hall of Famer.

While he chuckled at some of the comparisons, he noted that criticism is familiar territory for artists and athletes alike.

“Every time they create something, someone has to come out and say something about their creation. They cannot do what they do,” Wade said of the sculptors.

“I know what that feels like because I’m an athlete, a former athlete. People talked about me a lot, but they couldn’t do what I do. And so, you learn how to just laugh, look at it, learn from it, move on, whatever. So, we good. We good.
