51-year-old Cameron Diaz and 45-year-old Benji Madden, who became parents for the second time this year, are making a change—they are selling the estate they bought in the year their first child, daughter Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden, was born. The luxurious 68-acre property in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles, cost the couple $14.7 million in 2020. They are now looking to sell it for $17.8 million, $3 million more than they paid.
For this price, the future owner will not only get sunlit green lawns, a large scenic garden, a swimming pool with a barbecue area, and a three-car garage, but also a spacious farmhouse-style home with high ceilings. Inside, there are ten bathrooms and seven bedrooms, with the master suite occupying an entire wing of the house. This wing also includes three walk-in closets, two baths, a sitting area, and a room with a large fireplace. The house also features a home theater and a pool with a waterfall. There is a separate smaller building for staff.
The reasons for the sale have not been disclosed. However, Cameron and Benji’s real estate portfolio includes more than just this house. They also own a six-bedroom, ten-bathroom mansion in Montecito, which they purchased in 2022 for $12.8 million, and a condominium in New York City worth $9.5 million. Diaz also still owns her apartment above Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills.
Next year, Diaz and Madden will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. They married in January 2015 in a modest ceremony at their Beverly Hills home. Four years later, they welcomed their daughter Raddix, and in March of this year, they had a son named Cardinal.
