Personally, I don’t like how some women over 50 decide to go for a “boyish” look by cutting their hair short. Of course, as we age, our hair loses volume and becomes thinner and more fragile, but that doesn’t mean we need to drastically cut it all off.
Many famous women over 50 prefer long, well-maintained hair, even though their faces may show wrinkles and signs of aging. Among the actresses with long hair are Julia Roberts, Monica Bellucci, and Demi Moore. All of them are over 50, but you wouldn’t guess their age by looking at them. They set a great example, and we should strive to look as good as they do.
Recently, the media criticized Sarah Jessica Parker for her wrinkles. It’s true that she has them, but her luxurious long hair gives her a youthful appearance and refreshes her face, as noted by journalists.
There are women who look great with short hair, like Sigourney Weaver, but they are the exception rather than the rule. Generally, women look better with longer hair.
The key is to choose the right haircut. Then you’ll never be labeled as an old lady or a “retiree.”
