Irish actress Nicola Coughlan took home a gong at this year’s Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year awards.

Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner won the performance award, while the Galway native and Derry Girls and Bridgerton star won the television actress prize.

Victoria Beckham was also honoured with an award by her daughter Harper.

 

At London’s Claridge’s hotel, the fashion designer and former Spice Girl received an entrepreneur award in recognition of her “innovation and dedication to the British and global fashion industry.”

Harper, 13, the youngest of former football player David Beckham and Victoria Beckham’s children, has attended her fashion shows and the Netflix documentary debut.

On Tuesday, Brian Cox, who portrayed her ex-husband in the popular television series Succession, presented Killing Eve and Silo star Harriet Walter with the icon award for her contributions in theatre, film, and television.

The writer prize for “her extraordinary half-century contribution to literature” went to author Jilly Cooper from Poldark actor Aidan Turner, who leads the series adaption of her book Rivals, which debuted on Disney+ this year.

Lydia Slater, the editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar UK, said: “We are hugely privileged to have presented the Women of the Year Awards to this esteemed group of winners, all of whom have left us inspired by their trailblazing, impactful contribution and dedication to their respective fields.”

Olympic athlete Katarina Johnson, artist Rana Begum, designer Francesca Amfitheatrof, and This Is Going To Hurt actress Ambika Mod were also honoured with Women of the Year awards at the event.

Raye, who is a Brit record holder for her independently released album My 21st Century Blues, was honoured with a gong.
