Kate Middleton and Prince William just shared a charming new portrait of their eldest son, Prince George, in honor of his 11th birthday. He looks like a real king.

Prince George, the eldest son of Kate Middleton and Prince William, as well as the second representative of the British royal family in line to the throne, is 11! By tradition, the Prince and Princess of Wales congratulated the heir with a fresh portrait of him on a banned social network. As is tradition, the photo was taken by Kate herself.

Since George is being raised in a special way, as a future king, the photograph chosen for him is more serious than for his younger sister and brother (remember, Kate and William generally want Charlotte and Louis to choose a profession not related to royal obligations). This year, the Princess of Wales delighted the public with a black and white photograph of her eldest son.

We cannot help but notice that every year George looks more and more like a real king (his strict upbringing makes itself felt). Already at the age of 11, the young prince’s smile is no less serious than that of his father William and grandfather Charles III. However, George still has enough time to enjoy his childhood and not rush into growing up. Fortunately, William himself seems to think the same thing, and therefore does not miss the opportunity to take his son to a football match or a Taylor Swift concert in order to have a completely childish time with him.
