Madonna made a bold choice at her sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, wearing a skimpy red outfit that showed off her muscles.
The outfit had a special meaning as the 65-year-old Queen of Pop celebrated her daughter Mercy’s 18th birthday during the show.
Madonna’s daughter Mercy played the piano for her 1992 song ‘Bad Girl,’ and her 18-year-old son David played guitar for her 2003 song ‘Mother and Father.’
Fans were surprised by Madonna’s muscular appearance at her recent concert, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts. Some felt she was too old to dress the way she did, while others praised her fit physique.
Despite the controversies, Madonna keeps making headlines for both her music and her energetic performances.
Last Friday (January 19), two fans, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, filed a lawsuit against Madonna, accusing her of “false advertising.” The lawsuit, filed in New York, claims Madonna was late to her December 13 concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, starting at 10:45 pm due to “sound check issues,” which confused fans who thought she was hours late.
Madonna has faced health challenges recently, including a serious bacterial infection that led to a 48-hour coma in June, where she was revived with a NARCAN injection. However, she hasn’t let that stop her. With 44.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Madonna is currently on her Celebration Tour, which has made $77.4 million over 79 dates.
For her 12th concert tour, Madonna worked with creative director Lewis James and musical director Stuart Price to create a spectacular show celebrating her 40-year career. Instead of a traditional band, she chose Bob the Drag Queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race as the opening act.
Even with past health issues, like knee and hip injuries that led to 14 canceled shows during her Madame X Tour in 2019-2020, Madonna remains strong. She had knee surgery in April 2020, hip surgery in November 2020, and regenerative treatment for “missing cartilage.”
Looking ahead, Madonna plans to direct her own biopic, *Little Sparrow*, with Julia Garner starring as her. She worked on the script with Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody and later with Erin Wilson after Cody left. The biopic will explore Madonna’s career and personal journey.
