A pregnant mom of five died in the United Kingdom after a horrific fall from a residential tower. Miraculously, her unborn daughter survived and is now receiving critical care in a hospital. The mother, Emma Atkinson, died from injuries sustained during the fall. Miraculously, a medical team worked diligently to deliver her baby girl, Posie, effectively saving her life.
The loss devastated Atkinson’s loved ones. She reportedly loved her family and looked forward to raising her little girl alongside her four siblings. Her daughter, Demi Atkinson, shared on Facebook that the baby is “the last bit of our mama to treasure forever she’s gonna do this for you, mum.”

Atkinson died at the scene.
According to a statement from the West Yorkshire Police provided to People, it appears Atkinson’s death was a tragic accident.
“Police were contacted by the ambulance service who had been called to an incident where a woman had fallen from height at Shakespeare Towers, in Shakespeare Approach, Burmantofts,” police explained.
They reported Atkinson “was in the late stage of pregnancy” at the time of her death. Additionally, her baby was born and receiving “critical care” at a hospital.
She reportedly took a very hard fall.
According to The Times, Atkinson fell more than 90 feet from a 17-story tower block. Police did not release the cause of her fall. However, police confirmed to People that they were not investigating the fall as “suspicious.”
Atkinson’s daughter confirmed her mother’s death with a post on Facebook.
Her daughter, Demi Atkinson, wrote, “Litralky have no words but with a heavy heart ad like you all to my mum sadly gained her wings and joined heaven this morning,” She continued, “we love you like no other mum and always will god you’ve left us all heartbroken I just want you back my queen my beautiful amazing mum you was 2 amazing and perfect for this world god were lost already.”
She asked others not to post about her mother’s death on social media until they had a chance to tell the younger children. “I’d apptiacte it if everyone would take there post down her poor baby boys don’t even no there never gunna see her mum again yet… and I’m having to write this when we’re not even come to terms with loosing our mum 2 perfect for this world my mama your name will live forever and ever.”

Loved ones shared well-wishes for the family.
Many posted kind words on Demi Atkinson’s Facebook post.
“Love you millions my baby my heart is broke was some women for one women was my Antie emm me and Nevaeh will forever love you,” one person commented.
And this, “Aw dem my hearts truly broken and will forever miss a piece now she’s gained her wings, you know I’m here n I’ve got you for life love you all the world my dem xxx.”
Loved ones also established a GoFundMe account to help Atkinson’s children, Jayden, Demi, Oakley, Regan, and baby Posie.
“Reaching out with the heaviest heart to ask for some help in easing the financial burden and stress of this horrific situation so that her children and family can have some time to grieve. Every little donation made will help towards this and will be appreciated more than you will ever know,” the fundraiser reads.
