Calvo’s death, which occurred around 11:30PM last Wednesday (September 25), is not being treated as suspicious, but it has left her loved ones heartbroken.
The Daily Mail reports that the model’s body was found dead in a bathroom of the popular brewery.
Calvo’s father, Daniel Calvo, spoke to The Daily Telegraph about the threats and harassment his daughter had endured prior to her death.
“As her father, I knew very well that she was being harassed and stalked, and I tried to intervene,” Mr. Calvo said. “Although we were very close, daughters only tell their parents so much.”
Mr. Calvo explained that his daughter had been in contact with “dodgy young guys” and owed money, which led to multiple death threats in the days before her death.
“It’s just an incredible disaster, a nightmare, we’re slowly working our way through it,” he said.
NSW Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Calvo’s death.
“Her mother and I were with the police at Darlinghurst on Thursday morning trying to determine what happened, and I know there will be a comprehensive investigation,” Mr. Calvo said.
Calvo had faced several challenges in recent years, including a serious car accident in 2022 that left her with a spinal injury.

Despite this, her father does not believe that she wanted to take her own life.
“She used to say she wouldn’t do it for me,” Mr. Calvo said, adding that the family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends and the community.
“It’s crushing, it’s devastating, and we’re very, very grateful for the messages of support we’ve had.”
Close family friend Adam St John-Foti told Daily Mail Australia that Calvo had experienced “trying times” in the months leading up to her passing.
In an emotional tribute, he remembered her as a “cherished daughter, sister, and friend” who touched the lives of those around her.
“She will be deeply missed by all who knew her,” St John-Foti wrote. “We also appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to Savana’s family as we navigate through our grief.”
St John-Foti has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist the family with funeral expenses, raising over AU$29,000 ($20,000) so far.
He shared that the Calvo family has been overwhelmed by the support, saying: “Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that Savana is laid to rest with the dignity, respect, and celebration she deserves.”
Young Henrys brewery was closed to the public the day following her death, and police were seen stationed outside. There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by the brewery.
