We always knew our moms had eyes in the backs of their heads. Luckily, as soon as we had children, we developed them too. Mothers have a sixth sense about things and an innate ability to identify danger and save their children in seconds. Miraculously, lifestyle content creator Liz Lovery caught herself on camera saving her daughter from a potentially terrible fall with one swift move.

Lovery posted the video to Instagram, and people couldn’t believe how she just knew to turn around at the exact moment her daughter nearly hit her head. As she wrote, “MOM REFLEXES ARE REAL!”

Lovery was decorating for Halloween.

The skeleton she perched on a rocking chair isn’t the scariest part of the video. Seeing her daughter, Violet, nearly hit her head on the concrete sidewalk made her gasp. Thankfully, Lovery saw Violet go down and rushed over to grab her.

She captioned her video, “I started decorating our porch for Halloween a few days ago when I noticed my daughter getting close to the steps… I got there just in time! She is completely unharmed, thank God.”

Violet and Lovery work together a lot.

She told Today that it isn’t unusual for her to film herself decorating and for Violet to be nearby.” I just kept a close eye on her, and when I started to see her walk toward the stairs, I just reacted. Somehow, I just knew I needed to head in her direction,” she said of her viral video.

Fittingly, Lovery picked Sia’s “Unstoppable” as the soundtrack for the viral video. It has a whopping 2.4 million views thus far.

Violet was fine.

Thankfully, the little girl was “completely fine,” her mom told Today. “My foot was in the right place at the right time, and it completely shielded her head from hitting the pavement.”

Lovery admitted that once she realized what had happened, “I got a little emotional about it.”

Unsurprisingly, as for Violet, Lovery said she went on about her business. “A few seconds after I caught her, she was waving to the skeletons on the porch that I had just laid out,” the quick-moving mom told Today.

Instagrammers loved the video.

Of course, plenty of jokes made their way onto the comments, like this one: “Those reflexes are NFL contract worthy. Sign her!!”

This person made a keen observation, writing, “And they just go on with their day like you didn’t just lose two years off your life and almost s— yourself.”

So many people were impressed. “The foot placement for an extra quick save is incredible!! Thank goodness you didn’t get hurt,” one person wrote.

“Save this video for when the child becomes a teenager and says you never do anything for them,” someone else suggested.

Violet, you are one lucky girl. There is no question that your momma will always have your back when you need her. But, fair warning: She sees everything. So as you get older, don’t think you can pull a fast one on her. Because she is definitely watching.
