What’s a “thing” with a three-word name starting with the letters “NE”?
Stumped? Not lucky Wheel of Fortune contestant Emil. Wednesday night, the clever competitor cracked what host Pat Sajakcalled the “most amazing solve in my 30+ years on the show.”
“This looks tough to me,” Sajak said to Emil. “You’re a very good puzzle solver, but I don’t know. You have 10 seconds. Keep talking. Maybe the right thing will pop out. Good luck.”
Lo and behold, the first guess Emil threw out, “NEW BABY BUGGY,” incredibly turned out to be the correct answer.
It took a moment, while Emil continued throwing out guesses, before Sajak realized what had just happened. “I’m rather stunned!” the host said.
Vanna White shrugged in disbelief as Sajak jokingly patted Emil down before revealing the prize: $45,000, bringing Emil’s total winnings to $63,099.
It was a game show miracle—but not every Wheel of Fortune player is so lucky. In September, another show clip when viral when a contestant missed out on the chance to win a $1 million prize because of a mispronunciation.
