Rebel Wilson has not only revealed that she didn’t lose her virginity until her mid-thirties, but also shared which actor was her first lover.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Wilson candidly discussed the topic of losing her virginity in her mid-thirties, urging others to not feel pressured to have sex until they feel ready.
“Not everybody has to lose their virginity as a teenager,” Wilson shared. “People can wait till they’re ready or wait till they’re a bit more mature. And I think that could be a positive message.
“You obviously don’t have to wait until you’re in your thirties like me, but you shouldn’t feel pressure as a young person.”
However, Wilson admitted that discussing this subject hasn’t always been easy for her. Reflecting on her past struggles, she confessed to dodging conversations and even making up stories to avoid revealing her age at the time of losing her virginity.

“I would often try to avoid conversations about the topic so I wouldn’t have to reveal how old I was when I lost my virginity,” Wilson said. “Normally I would just leave the room when the conversation was happening.”
Labeling herself a “late-bloomer,” the Pitch Perfect star speculated on how societal attitudes may have influenced her experiences, expressing that if she had been born in a different era, she might have explored her sexuality sooner.
“I just knew I was attracted to men, and that was the normal thing,” she said. “And so when I started opening myself up probably more after my father’s death and realizing, oh, even though I’d seen marriage as a terrible thing and waste of time, I started opening myself up to that.”

In her memoir, Rebel Rising, Wilson also disclosed that comedian and actor Mickey Gooch Jr. was her first sexual partner at the age of 35.
Addressing her How to Be Single co-star, Wilson penned: “Micks, I know this might be news to you if you are reading this, but yes I lost my virginity to you,” as reported by the Daily Mail.
Confirming the revelation to the New York Times, Wilson further expressed: “Mickey was the first person to read my book, so he knows now.”
Wilson and Gooch Jr. shared a brief romance in 2015, with sightings of the duo showing their affection for each other during a dinner date in Manhattan.

Preparing for the occasion, Wilson candidly admitted to watching adult content and using a vibrator the night before, confessing: “I’d imagine having sex and being intimate and everything would always be in my head.”
Of course, Wilson is now engaged to Ramona Agruma – who is the founder and designer behind the sustainable clothing brand Lemon Limon.
The couple went public with their relationship in June 2022, and revealed that they were engaged in February 2023.
