Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are celebrating an important milestone, their 35th wedding anniversary!
The Hollywood couple celebrated 35 years of wedded bliss on April 30.To mark the occasion, Wilson shared a photo on social media of Hanks presenting her with a cake.
“35 years of marriage. April 30, 1988. Love is everything,” she wrote.
35 years of marriage. April 30, 1988. Love is everything.The couple first met in 1981 while on the set of Bosom Buddies. Their relationship began as friends as Hanks was married to Samantha Lewes, his college sweetheart, at the time.
“I will say that right from the get-go, I thought there was something crazy great about her. I met her and I thought ‘Oh Lord’… there’s something cookin’ here,” the 66-year-old actor told “Sooo Many White Guys” podcast.
After two years of dating Hanks and Wilson married in 1988. The couple have two children together, Chester “Chet” Hanks and Truman Theodore Hanks.
