Sandra Bullock has revealed the one movie from her illustrious career that she regrets starring in.
Now, the 59-year-old has appeared in some truly great movies over the years – from thrillers like Bird Box, romcoms like The Proposal, and dramas like The Blind Side.
But according to her, there’s one movie that – to this day – she still regrets appearing in.
During the promotional tour for her movie The Lost City – in which she stars alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Channing Tatum – the A-Lister revealed which flick from her decades-long career she is “still embarrassed” about.

During an interview with TooFab, both she and Radcliffe were asked which of their movies they had initially been hesitant about but eventually “came around to” for their fans – and Bullock was quick to respond.
“I have one [that] no one came around to, and I’m still embarrassed I was in,” the 59-year-old said. “It’s called Speed 2. I’ve been very vocal about it. Makes no sense. Slow boat. Slowly going towards an island.”
She went on to say she regretted starring in the flick, saying: “That’s one I wished I hadn’t done, and no fans came around that I know of.”

The interviewer protested that he’d been a huge fan of the movie as a teen. Radcliffe joined in defending it, saying: “I feel like it had a kind of cult love as well.”
But Bullock was having none of it. “Very quiet! Like five people. Him and the other four 12-year-olds who were watching the slow boat going towards the tiny island,” she said.
Speed 2 – which came out in 1997 – was the sequel to the hugely popular Speed (1994). In the original film, Bullock starred alongside Keanu Reeves as two passengers on a bus that is rigged to explode unless its speed stays above 50 miles per hour.

In the 1997 follow-up, Bullock reprises her original role, this time appearing alongside Jason Patric as two cruise passengers who must stop their ship from crashing into an oil tanker. Both movies were directed by Jan de Bont.
Reeves has previously spoken about his refusal to appear in the sequel, telling GQ that the studio put him in “movie jail” as a result.
“I loved working with Jan de Bont and Sandra, of course. It was just a situation in life where I got the script and I read the script and I was like, ‘Ugh.’ It was about a cruise ship, and I was thinking, ‘A bus, a cruise ship … Speed, bus, but then a cruise ship is even slower than a bus,’ and I was like, ‘I love you guys, but I just can’t do it.'”
I mean, I can honestly say that Speed 2 holds a special place in my heart! So don’t be too hard on yourselves, guys.
