Before the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, American figure skating champion Jason Brown collaborated with his coach and choreographer to develop a new performance program.
Upon receiving the suggestion to perform his free skate to Riverdance’s “Reel Around the Sun,” Jason was initially skeptical of his teammates’ idea.
However, the decision to skate to this music turned out to be a stroke of genius as every element of the performance captivated and impressed the audience.
All eyes were on Jason as he flawlessly translated the intricacies of Riverdance onto the ice, despite its origins as a traditional step performance.
