At the age of 70, Patti Yasutake, an actor from Star Trek: The Next Generation, passed away.

After a protracted fight with cancer, Patti passed away quietly. She starred in Beef, a Netflix series that won awards.

Longtime friend and agent of the actress Kyle Fritz confirmed the news to Deadline on Tuesday.

He informed them that she passed away on August 5th, surrounded by devoted relatives and friends.

He remarked, “When I started over 30 years ago, Pattina was my first client.”

“She was a pleasure to work with every day, and I will miss her determination, talent, and spirit, but most of all, her friendship.”

Patti’s life

California’s Gardena and Inglewood are where Pia was born and reared. She received honors in theater from UCLA.

She co-starred at the theater group East West Players with Japanese-American actor Mako during the first six years of her lengthy Hollywood career.

Patti made her screen debut as Umeki in Ron Howard’s Gung Go (1986).

She starred in The Wash two years later, earning a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award in the process.

From 1994 to 1996, Patti portrayed Nurse Alyssa Ogawa in numerous Star Trek films.

In addition, Patti starred in the films Road to Galveston, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Blind Spot.

Over the years, Patti has made appearances as a guest star on several well-known TV shows, including Cold Case, Grey’s Anatomy, The Closer, and Bones.

During a later time, Patti will be honored during a ceremony held at East West Players in Los Angeles.
