While Craig Jones and Marie Jordan were quickly falling asleep, their white German shepherd, Shadow, began to bark loudly.

Craig assumed the dog wanted to go outdoors, so he opened the door for it. The man exited the room and observed that it was completely filled with noxious black smoke. A kitchen short circuit was revealed to have caused the fire. Without Shadow, neither individual would have been conscious.

A few days before, they had removed the smoke alarm from the room in order to paint the ceiling.

This dog is very nice and dedicated. Being a German Shepherd, he is huge enough to inspire dread. Craig, though, referred to him as “the softest and warmest dog.”

As a result of the fire, the couple was left with almost nothing, since the flames destroyed everything in their home. They continue to praise their four-legged partner for defending them, though.
