Victoria Beckham has been eating the exact same meal every day for 25 years.
Victoria, 50, rose to fame in the girl group Spice Girls, in which she was nicknamed Posh Spice.
She’s since become an internationally recognized style icon and fashion designer, with her luxury fashion brand worn by celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez.
The former singer is also known for her slender figure, which hasn’t happened by accident.
In an interview with Vogue Australia, the designer opened up about her strict diet and admitted she’s ‘disciplined.’
She told the publication: “I eat lots of healthy fat: fish, avocado, nuts, that sort of thing. I do drink alcohol unless I have a reason not to. I’ll detox from anything for three to six months where I won’t drink.
“I’m quite extreme in anything I do, whether it’s eating or working out or drinking or not drinking.”
Victoria also revealed that she maintains an exercise routine, involving 30-minute uphill runs on the treadmill and ‘grueling one-hour weights sessions.’
She also takes skin supplements, drinks apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning, puts Skinaide collagen peptide powder in her coffee, and loves a health retreat.
But arguably, these aren’t the strictest factors of Victoria’s lifestyle.
Victoria’s husband, former football player David Beckham, opened up about the designer’s diet on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast.
He said that while he feels ’emotional’ about food, the same can’t be said for his wife.
“When I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it,” he explained. “Unfortunately, I’m married to someone who has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years.”
David said Victoria rarely strays from her favorite dish, although she did during her pregnancy with Harper.
“The only time she’s shared something that’s been on my plate is when she was pregnant with Harper, and it was the most amazing thing,” David recalled.
“It was one of my favorite evenings. I can’t remember what it was, but I know she’s not eaten it since.”
As for the one meal Victoria eats every day, it’s grilled fish with steamed vegetables.
Like with everything the designer does, this titbit of information quickly made headlines, resulting in a response from Victoria.
During her chat with Vogue Australia, the mom-of-four said: “I mean, talk about making me sound boring.”
She added: “What he meant is that he’s never met anyone who’s more disciplined with the way that they eat.”
In an interview with Grazia, Victoria elaborated: “This is how I look. I’m going to make the best of it, [and] work hard at it.
“I’m very disciplined with the way that I eat, the way that I work out and the way I work. That’s just who I am.”
