Normally, when viewers hate a movie, the furthest they will go is suggest others don’t watch it.
Do I think you should watch it? No. Do I think you should be able to watch it if you want? Yeah, sure, why not.
One movie on Netflix however, has been leaving some fans so ‘depressed’ that they are not only suggesting you not watch it – but are fully calling on Netflix to remove it from the platform.

The post in question, in LADbible’s Facebook group Netflix Bangers, received hundreds of comments of those agreeing, with fans seemingly unanimous in their desire to get it off.
Now, if you gave me the option there are several films I’d happily scrub from Netflix, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser for a start, but the movie in question is in actual fact the number one on the platform right now.
The film is called The Deliverance, which released last weekend and has been the top movie on Netflix since. See the trailer below:

One fan posted in Netflix Bangers saying: “Stop recommending The Deliverance! It’s 2hrs of your life you can never get back!”
Another viral post in the group called for it to be ‘removed’ from the platform, calling it ‘the most demonic depressing movie’ they’d ever watched.
The Deliverance is a fantastical retelling of the true story of a woman who reported that her and her kids kept seeing ‘shadowy spirits’.
Directed by Lee Daniels, the man behind Precious, the film has received to a markedly mixed reaction.
Whilst some have been calling it a terrifying and emotional watch, others have torn into the movie.
In the comments of the Netflix Bangers post asking fans to stop recommending the film, one viewer said: “I agree! I know it’s based on true events, but everyone saying it was fantastic. I watched it and I was like wtf lol.”

Another commented: “I was so excited to watch it lol wasn’t that good to me either.”
Meanwhile though, some viewers stuck up for the film.
One commented: “It’s inspired by true events. Soooo if folks can’t stomach the truth, it’s definitely not for them.”
And a second commented: “Sorry, but that is just your opinion, doesn’t mean everyone else feels the same. People can watch whatever they want to, if I waste 2 hours of my life, it’s on me, nobody forced me to do it and it gives me no reason to yell at other people”.
