The interview for the dream job took place over the phone. Half an hour later it turned out that visible tattoos were prohibited for employees
Claire Shepherd, 32, whose body is covered in tattoos from head to toe, was sacked half an hour after being hired, the Daily Star reports.
Shepherd got her first tattoo at the age of 18, when she was on holiday with friends.
14 years later, the designs almost completely cover Claire’s legs and arms. Only recently has she begun to think about how they’re getting in the way.
Recently, the girl got her dream job in a logistics company. The interview was held over the phone and everything went smoothly.
Shepherd was signed up online and sent a letter with the company’s rules, which stated that visible tattoos were not allowed on workers.
Claire decided to talk to the HR manager about it and find out if she would be kept on the job despite having tattoos.
“They told me it was impossible. It turns out I worked in the company for about 30 minutes,” the girl laments.
Shepherd described the situation on her social networks. The logistics company’s decision caused a lot of indignation among users.
