I’m lucky to have great doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and the wonderful technicians at Cedar Sinai. But that fear… the turmoil… the timing… This is what cancer looks like.”
A few days later, Shannen shared a video before going into surgery. She was scheduled to have a tumor removed and biopsied. Showing her vulnerable feelings, she wrote, “January 16, 2023. Surgery. I had a tumor in my head that had to be taken out and tested. I’m clearly trying to be brave, but I’m terrified. Fear overwhelmed me. I worried about all the bad things that could happen, leaving my mom, and how surgery might change me. This is what cancer looks like.”
